“You know that wasn’t what I meant.” He said and stopped for a moment to lay his eyes on her.
” I would really like you’d to come!”
“I know, but I’m not going to. I know you want your private space.” She smiled and drift off in her mind.
“No. I just thought about it for a moment to weigh the options. I would never lie to you!”
“I know.” she said smiling, but thought to her self ‘I know, you’re not lying to me, but your lying to yourself.’
She didn’t even turn around after the last pledge. She just kept walking and didn’t look back. No final words, no smile, no wave, no nothing. She looked up upon her. On her pale white surface and her cold presence. She felt safe around her and God she missed the nights with her.
And then she screamed to her. She screamed out all of the emptiness within. She screamed till she was all out of air and collapsed on the ground. The emptiness did not leave her body. She was so sick of this emptiness, hoping for it to one day leave. As she laid there she could feel the well-known feeling of sobbing coming up slowly in her throat. But she didn’t wanted to cry. Not this time.
Just numb. Once again.
